Hello hello! Sorry it's been a while everyone..I'll try and catch you all up!
So Monday when Miles and I got back from St. Andrews, we all went to Stonehenge! It was pretty cool to be in a place that is thousands of years old! And amazing that those stones have stayed in the same place for thousands and thousands of years.
The train stop to Stonehenge is in Salisbury which is such a cute town! My history class also went to the cathedral there which was amazing! It's not a giant as the one in Canterbury but it's considered one of the best examples of a gothic cathedral because it was built in the space of 50 years instead of over a 100 or so. Since cathedral styles would change over the years new bishops or builders would want to make their section they had funding for in the latest style and not preserve the previous style. It was really cool to compare the two.

On Tuesday Miles and I used the day as a shopping day since none of my classes had any trips planned. For everyone coming to London you need this book:
It was where we found all the shops we went to that day. Seriously, one of the best investments I made before this trip. But we went this store called the Map House..INCREDIBLE. They had drawers and drawers of maps from as far back as they were making maps. I found one from 1520 in a drawer for sale! Granted it was like £600 but it was so cool! Miles actually bought one of Europe from like 1756 or something like that for £98. It was really cool. Then we went to a shop where he wanted to buy a bowtie from that makes shirts, ties, and stuff like that for the Royal Family! He got two :) The hat store next door made custom top hats, bowler hats, and had a whole shelf of Sherlock Holmes hats. Then we went to a tobacco store that has been in business for 200 years! It was a really fun afternoon!

That night everyone went to Icebar! Haha if you get cold easily then don't go. The whole bar is made out of ice. Including your glasses. But definitely worth the £12 to get in!

The next day was Miles' last day and my English class went and saw Doctor Faustus by Christopher Marlowe in the Globe Theater! It was really cool to see that play performed the way it would have been performed back in Shakespeare's time when it was written. The Globe looked pretty much I had always imagined it would have looked! It was really cool!
